Starforge MMO — Patch 0.9.5
Best Modules in Starforge MMO (2026)
The top fitting for every slot — weapons, defense, engines, utility and implants — ranked for the patch 0.9.5 meta.
How to Read This List
A ship is only as good as its fittings. Below we rank the strongest modules in each slot so you can kit out any hull for its role. Modules are ranked by rarity and tier first, then by raw stat efficiency and how many ship classes they fit. Pick the highest entry your tech and budget allow for each slot.
Weapon Slot
Primary damage output. Match weapon type to your target’s defenses — kinetic, energy and explosive each counter different shields and armor.

Engine Slot
Mobility and positioning. Speed wins kite fights and lets you choose engagements.
| # | Module | Rarity | Tier | Key Stats |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Temporal Drive Experimental Void Syndicate engine that briefly shifts the vessel 3 seconds into the future during combat, making it untargetable for the duration and allowing repositioning at will. | legendary | T5 | travel speed bonus: 0.6 · combat phase duration sec: 3 · combat phase cooldown sec: 60 · fuel efficiency: 0.9 |
| 2 | Stellar Engine V Converts antimatter annihilation directly into directed momentum through a quantum-coupled inertia exchange. Ships fitted with it do not have a listed top speed; they have a listed attention span. | legendary | T5 | travel speed bonus: 0.85 · sublight speed bonus: 0.4 · fuel efficiency: 0.95 · warp spool reduction: 0.5 |
Utility Slot
Force multipliers — sensors, ECM, repair and logistics that punch above their stat budget.

Modules FAQ
What is the best module in Starforge MMO?
The best module depends on the slot. For weapons, the highest-rarity high-tier kinetic and energy modules top the charts; for defense, legendary shield arrays give the best survivability. Use the per-slot rankings above to pick the top fitting for each of your ship’s slots.
How do rarity and tier affect a module?
Tier sets the power band (1 starter to 5 endgame) while rarity (common, rare, epic, legendary, unique) multiplies a module’s stats within its tier. A rare Tier 2 module can outperform a common Tier 3 one, so always weigh both numbers together.
How many modules can a ship equip?
Each hull has a fixed set of slots — weapon, defense, engine, utility and implant. The number and mix of slots is part of the chassis. Higher-class hulls generally offer more slots, letting you stack more of your best modules.
