The Awakening

You wake to distress signals and a galaxy in fracture. The Starforge incident — a catastrophic collapse of an ancient orbital forge network — has left four major factions scrambling for control of the surviving technology.

Chapter 1 drops you into a contested outer sector hours after the incident. Your first choices establish who you are in this galaxy: a loyal operative, a hired gun, or something the records will never quite capture. The opening chapter takes roughly 2–3 hours to complete on a first playthrough.

The lore goes deep. Ancient star maps, pre-collapse transmissions, faction dossiers, and recovered artefact logs paint a history that predates current civilisation by thousands of years. The Starforge itself was not built by anyone still alive.

3 Faction Paths

Your story is shaped by the path you choose. Each faction path has unique missions, unique dialogue, and a unique ending state.

Story decisions carry faction reputation consequences that persist into the open world. Your standing with each faction affects what missions you can access, which NPC contacts trust you, and what endgame content opens up.

The Codex

Every mission, exploration event, and faction interaction can unlock Codex entries — a growing collection of lore records, intercepted transmissions, artefact analyses, and historical documents that expand the world beyond the main story.

The Codex is fully optional but deeply rewarding for lore enthusiasts. It contains pre-collapse history, faction founding documents, and hints at story content well beyond the campaign chapters. Some Codex entries can only be unlocked on specific faction paths.
