Flagship Artifact Comparison
Calibration Spike vs Null-Space Membrane
Comparing Calibration Spike (Uncommon) and Null-Space Membrane (Rare), both Flagship artifacts in Starforge MMO. They share the same equip slot, so only one can be slotted at a time — this breakdown helps you pick.
At a Glance
| Attribute | Calibration Spike | Null-Space Membrane |
|---|---|---|
| Rarity | uncommon | rare★ |
| Equip slot | Flagship | Flagship |
| Set | — | Void Remnants |
| Bonuses | 2 | 2 |

★ marks the higher rarity and larger total bonus magnitude. Magnitude sums the absolute value of each direct bonus and is a rough power proxy, not a balance verdict.
Calibration Spike
uncommon Flagship Artifact
A precision instrument used to calibrate targeting arrays. Whoever owned this one calibrated it so many times the grip is worn smooth — but the tip remains factory-perfect.
Passive bonuses
- +6% Fleet Accuracy
- +5% Cooldown Reduction Scan
How to get
Craft Reward, Expedition Cache
Null-Space Membrane
rare Flagship Artifact
A translucent film that does not reflect light — it absorbs it. Wrapping even a small surface area of a hull with this membrane has been shown to reduce heat signature and therefore scanner visibility.
Passive bonuses
- +10% Fleet Stealth Rating
- -12% Passive Scan Detection
Set bonus3 pieces
+18% Expedition Discovery Chance
Void Attunement: The void reveals its secrets to those who carry its remnants.
How to get
Deep Expedition, Anomaly Reward
Which Artifact Should You Equip?
Null-Space Membrane is the higher-rarity relic, so it carries the stronger ceiling for the Flagship slot and is the long-term target. That said, if you are already running the Void Remnants set, the set bonus can outweigh raw rarity — favour the artifact that completes a set you already own.
