Overview

The Defense Fleet does not chase kills — it makes attacking you a bad idea. Stacked shields, layered armour, and repair systems turn your position into a wall that bleeds attackers dry.

It pairs a heavy tank anchor with reactive defensive modules and a commander who amplifies survivability. The goal is simple: still be standing when the attacker runs out of patience.

How to Play This Build

    Anchor the line

    Position tanks at the chokepoint so attackers must engage them first.

  2. 2

    Layer the screen

    Keep frigates behind the tanks running point defence to strip incoming missiles.

  3. 3

    Cycle repairs

    Stagger Repair Bot activation so you always have sustain available, never all on cooldown.

  4. 4

    Wait them out

    Do not over-extend. Let the attacker spend resources breaking on your wall, then counter if they commit too hard.

Budget Alternative

Replace the Iron Titan with two more Frigate Mk.I and use Shield Generator III instead of Void Shield IV. Less raw tank, but a viable wall for defending your first outpost.

Use it to hold a chokepoint, outpost, or staging area you cannot afford to lose. It excels at making an attack on your position too costly to be worth attempting.

Why is my Defense Fleet getting bypassed?

Defensive fleets are immobile. If attackers ignore the wall and hit soft targets elsewhere, pair the fleet with a mobile reaction force or relocate the assets it protects.
